Skyhorse Trail Saddles

Riding pleasure  personally handmade by Lisa and Loren. Most of our trail saddles are built on a hand made wooden trees covered with fiberglass. This allows us to build a full strength Western saddle that weighs only 25-30 pounds, including cinch and stirrups. The skirts are "butterfly" style, cut up high under the rider's legs for ultimate close contact. You have the strength and security of a full western saddle with far less bulk. Our in-skirt rigging has a special reinforcement of Biothane "sandwiched in" for ultimate strength. Each trail saddle comes with D rings under the conchos  with replaceable strings, latigo, and cinch.....ready to ride!

Prices start at $6,500

RANGE RIDER

Features barbed wire tooling that matches the stainless steel buckles and "D" hardware. Extra "bling" comes from the pistol casings that accentuate the pommel, cantle back and star. (both 38 cal. and 45 cal.). Extra fine detail is achieved by the braided upright cantle done with kangaroo lace. The star theme is carried over to the entire set:  saddle, flank rig, headstall, and breast collar. Simple enough to ride daily.....fancy enough to ride with pride!

Comes with headstall, breast collar and flank cinch to match  -  available!

Horseshoe Trail Saddle

This saddle was custom made for a woman who is a committed trail rider. Her desire was to combine beauty, lightweight, and close contact balance. It is hand carved just the way she wanted with her personal mark. The sculpted skirts with special rigging plates and trail width stirrups make for a beautiful ride.

After ten years, this is what she writes us about her Skyhorse Saddle:

" That beautiful saddle has carried me every week to so many places where I thank God for the beauty of His world.  He has given you and Loren a gift of creating "functional", beautiful works of art in the saddles you make. The saddle you and Loren created for me is uniquely special, and sort of a tribute to this way God made me, with a passion for horses.  As a reminder, every concho on the saddle & bridle have either an Arabian horse, or Paint horse, since I have one of each, and/or woman trail riding!"  Thank you, Sandy

Tammy's Feather Trail Saddle

What a fun project for all of us! Tammy had a precious Squash Blossom necklace from her Grandmother that was near and dear to her. Since she never wore the necklace but wanted it close to her, we remounted the pieces into conchos and built her a saddle she will enjoy for a lifetime.
