Embracing the Past

Embracing the Past. 24" X 29" (border becomes the frame). Mixed media on leather.

We are honored by the BOOTH WESTERN ART MUSEUM and director Seth Hopkins in placing this piece into their permanent collection! The Booth Western Art Museum is the second largest Western Art Museum in the world and is a subsidiary of the Smithsonian.

The Making Of

This mounting is unique in that the single piece of leather is also molded over the frame. The pot, blanket, and border design were all provided by Toh-Atin Gallery in Durango, the most authentic Native American gallery. As in all of our art pieces, the images are 3 dimensional.
